rear pegs - roxysaltmer - 03-04-14 is it possible to somehow lower the pillion pegs? Re: rear pegs - ChristoT - 03-04-14 Yep! Your model probably has the shorter pegs as standard, later FZS600s had slightly longer pegs. Deefer666 may have some in his box of bits, send him a PM. Beware though, longer pegs may mess up your exhaust hangar. Re: rear pegs - roxysaltmer - 03-04-14 cheers....how do i pm him? so does this mean the pillions legs would be further down and towards riders pegs? helping reduce the cramped up seating position? i aren't always so stupid, just on days ending in 'y' Re: rear pegs - ChristoT - 03-04-14 (03-04-14, 09:05 PM)roxysaltmer link Wrote: cheers....how do i pm him? so does this mean the pillions legs would be further down and towards riders pegs? helping reduce the cramped up seating position? The pillion footrests are slightly longer, bringing the foot down a bit. Makes the knee angle less radical (if that makes sense?). I don't think it brings the pillion's foot any closer to the rider's peg (in the forwards and backwardcs direction) To PM someone, hover your mouse over the My Messages tab (above, under the header), and click "Send message". To PM Deefer, use his forum name, i.e "Deefer666", and hey presto. ![]() Incidentally, that tab allows you to get to your inbox to read your PMs too. Re: rear pegs - roxysaltmer - 03-04-14 thank you very much kind helpful chris, i managed to pm him... thanks for the info Re: rear pegs - Punkstig - 04-04-14 Not forgetting the '03 fazer's seat is thicker for the pillion which adds to the height and comfort for pillion! (maybe '02 model as well, wait for someone to confirm!) Re: rear pegs - Fazer Forever - 05-04-14 Didn't know that. I've fitted the later pegs to my '99 bike and according to my pillion they're better, but if the later seat is thicker as well that should be more comfortable still. Might invest if one appears cheap! Re: rear pegs - darrsi - 05-04-14 I seriously recommend one of these for a pillion, it plants their arse like glue on the seat, good for them and you! ![]() http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Grip-non-slip-Universal-Motorcycle-Pillion-Seat-Cover-/301138648026?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item461d431bda Re: rear pegs - Fazer Forever - 05-04-14 Thanks, got one of those, just thinking of the comfort as we're not getting any younger. It's a bit like the 4 door/2 door car question though and comfort for the people in the back. Never bothers me as I'm driving!!!!! Nice comfy cushion is what you need. :lol Re: rear pegs - Fazer Forever - 05-04-14 Might have to get one. Lost some weight recently and a bit of padding has gone. Re: rear pegs - roxysaltmer - 05-04-14 will any year 600 or 1000 pillion hangers fit? which ones should i be searching for?
