Bent bars. - Arbie - 03-04-14 Hi there. The previous owner of my foxeye dropped it and I think the bars are bent a little. I'll probably get some Renthals so was just wondering which ones are the closest to the originals in terms of riding position ? Cheers ![]() Re: Bent bars. - stevierst - 03-04-14 758's/superbike ultra low are the ones to go for. Super comfy ![]() Re: Bent bars. - Punkstig - 04-04-14 Have you tried loosening then retightening the clamps, with that much force put onto the bars when it was dropped it could be possible to twist them. Might not be the solution and they may well be bent as you say, but a cheap way to check/fix Re: Bent bars. - johna6968 - 04-04-14 The Renthal superbike lows will give more clearance where needed around the fzs6 fairing on full lock.. Seems they have that bit more rearward sweep than the ultra lows.. Renthal websight will give dimensions.. Re: Bent bars. - bigbluebear - 04-04-14 When I saw the title of this thread I thought....Christ Arbies "coming out"!!!!! Re: Bent bars. - Arbie - 04-04-14 Nice one :lol Re: Bent bars. - papercutout - 04-04-14 (03-04-14, 08:24 PM)stevierst link Wrote: 758's/superbike ultra low are the ones to go for. I've got Ultra Lows. They made my wrists ache a little at first, but now I really like them. Always feel a little wide going through traffic. I've got no faring though, and if there're issues with them hitting it, I'd suggest the Lows instead, if they add more sweep. Better safe than sorry! Re: Bent bars. - Dead Eye - 04-04-14 I have the 758's as well and really like them - they are a bit wider than the stock ones, but its easy to get use to it ![]() Re: Bent bars. - Slaninar - 05-04-14 Long pipe as a lever can be used to bend bars back. That's what I did on mine. Works OK. |
