Paint for engine covers - emjaydee - 31-03-14

Hi,
Can I use normal gloss paint on the engine covers or do I need to used high temperature paint?

I bought it from Europarts, cheapest on eBay at £5.99.

I've used hammerite in the past with no ill effects!

I used Plastikote Satin Black spray, still looks good 10 months later and I ride all year round.
