2001 FZS600 for sale - very nice condition with lots of extras . - davec - 09-03-14 I'm selling my FZS600 as I'm getting a bigger bike. All the usual gumph - Bike has been very well looked after, service history up to 8000 miles, since then the previous owner and myself have done all of the servicing. Oil and filters changed annually, coolant changed last year, new brake pads fitted 1500 miles ago, recent carb balanced, new Metzler Z6 tyres fitted yesterday. The bike is in very nice condition - it has a few age related marks, as you would expect. I've owned it for four years and it runs and rides superbly - it's been totally reliable. It's been kept under cover and not used through the winter, just the engine run every week. A whole array of tasteful upgrades including: Foxeye fairing. Hel braided brake lines TCP belly pan Rear hugger FZS1000 rear brake caliper upgrade. Ermax undertray. Simmi carbon exhaust. Renthal ultra low handlebars. Stainless downpipes. Stainless bleed nipples on all of the brake callipers. Iridiun plugs K&N air filter. New uprated 12mm front sprocket nut. Brand new Metzler Z6 tyres (done 15 miles) Fazer tool kit. The bike has done 16500 miles and will come with 12 months MOT. The chain and sprockets are in good condition, but I do have a brand new genuine Fazer chain and sprocket set that I can sell with the bike at a bargain price. Yours for just £1650 Any questions, feel free to message me. Re: 2001 FZS600 for sale - very nice condition with lots of extras . - River Valley - 20-03-14 Is the bike still for sale? p.m. sent Re: 2001 FZS600 for sale - very nice condition with lots of extras . - davec - 20-03-14 The bike is sold. Re: 2001 FZS600 for sale - very nice condition with lots of extras . - pilgo - 21-03-14 that bike was fecking lush, not sure how i missed this originaly,as id of had it and flogged mine and saved the hassel of doing what i want to do to her. but as i did miss it,can i ask: what was that saddle you had on it? was that a thunderace brake torque arm and if so did you get it from a breakers or brand new from yamaha? (as im planning on doing the 1000 blue dot upgrade) and how 'easy' was the foxeye upgrade? thanks in advance pilgo Re: 2001 FZS600 for sale - very nice condition with lots of extras . - davec - 21-03-14 The seat was the original but was re-padded and re-covered.The torque arm came from a breakers on ebay. The Foxeye upgrade took a couple of years to put together as sourcing the parts was not easy, especially the fairing bracket, thats the only one I've come across, so that will be your main problem I would think. There is a thread on here somewhere that was put together when I did it,it has the wiring diagram you will need to upgrade to the foxeye lights and other pieces of information about doing the mod.If you can source all of the parts it's a nice mod to do. It's strange I had no interest in the bike when I put it up for sale on here. But since I've sold it I've had no end of enquires, Re: 2001 FZS600 for sale - very nice condition with lots of extras . - pilgo - 21-03-14 (21-03-14, 07:42 PM)davec link Wrote: The seat was the original but was re-padded and re-covered.The torque arm came from a breakers on ebay. The Foxeye upgrade took a couple of years to put together as sourcing the parts was not easy, especially the fairing bracket, thats the only one I've come across, so that will be your main problem I would think. There is a thread on here somewhere that was put together when I did it,it has the wiring diagram you will need to upgrade to the foxeye lights and other pieces of information about doing the mod.If you can source all of the parts it's a nice mod to do. ok mate, thanks for the reply. as i said,if id seen this when you first put it up id of at least come and had a look at it and no doubt brought it and flogged mine 'built not brought' is all well and good when your a good spannerman, but im not so id of loved that bike sitting outside waiting for me. hope the new owner looks after her. |
