Alternator. - PeeGee - 16-02-14 I have heated grips, and HID lights, the correct unit, not just bulbs ( which I find are great), but, I would also like to fit some heated insoles to my boots, but will the standard alternator be able to manage. My pride and joy is a 2001 FZS 600. Re: Alternator. - Punkstig - 16-02-14 HID's should have less pull than standard bulbs, if you're going up and down a dual carriageway /motorway on your journey you should be fine, if only riding through town then it maybe an issue! Re: Alternator. - PeeGee - 16-02-14 That's great news thanks, I only put the heated grips on to take the chill off, they are not on full blast all the time, and I use the bike more out of town on A roads for a run of about 25 miles to work. Re: Alternator. - darrsi - 16-02-14 Heated insoles? How does that work then with the wiring? Re: Alternator. - hightower - 17-02-14 That seat looks comfy, how much find that set you back? Re: Alternator. - PeeGee - 18-02-14 The heated insoles fit into your boots, the wires go inside of trousers, here there is a male -female plug so that you can disconnect, from there it wires into the battery. Re the saddle, it came with the bike so I have no idea how much but yes it is really comfortable. |
