footpegs - bikerboy1000 - 25-01-14 Hi, I have just received my MFW adjustable footpegs for my gen 1 fazer 1000. I am having trouble removing the existing ones. as there is a pin going trough the bracket, but I cant work out how to undo the clip securing it underneath, the Haynes manual shows it as a bolt and nut but that's not on mine, any help greatly appreciated Re: footpegs - Tmation - 25-01-14 If you are removing standard footrests just drill out the end of the rivet and replace with a bolt and nut (normally supplied with new footrests) I drill the end off you can see in the picture. ![]() Re: footpegs - bikerboy1000 - 26-01-14 Thanks for the advice Tmation, i drilled out the pin, took a while,i now have my new pegs fitted, 30mm longer, what a difference to comfort. |
