Heated jacket - Punkstig - 07-01-14 So I bought a Keiss heated waistcoat a couple of years ago, and after buying the heated gloves last month decided to upgrade to the new jacket with heated sleeves and neck (which also has built in connections for the gloves) Well, for everything to fit comfortably I removed the thermal lining from the jacket. It came with an adjustable heat controller and I have to say- it's too bloody warm, and I've not even plugged it in and turned it on yet!!! Re: Heated jacket - Exupnut - 07-01-14 U shudda bought some bar muffs lol Re: Heated jacket - nick crisp - 07-01-14 Reckon you're gonna be needing it all soon. Re: Heated jacket - mtread - 07-01-14 I bought the waistcoat this year (my xmas present to myself) and wore it on Sunday. It also has the heat controller and I'd set it on minimum, and had the heated grips running. Result - body hot, (especially when going slow)- arms cold - hands warm. I understand you can get heated trousers and insoles ............... Sidelights could be disconnected to help with the power, and long run would be to swap out rear bulbs for led's and front for hid's. Re: Heated jacket - midden - 08-01-14 May as well get a car :evil Re: Heated jacket - mtread - 08-01-14 My car has a heated seat, but it's not as hot as my waistcoat :eek Re: Heated jacket - Dead Eye - 10-02-14 After my ride on Sunday, beginning to think about buying one of these... not sure if its worth waiting till next winter though as hopefully its going to be getting warmer now Re: Heated jacket - mtread - 10-02-14 Would definitely recommend. Takes the edge off of fast motorway. I would have lent you mine Sunday, but ....... Re: Heated jacket - Dead Eye - 10-02-14 Thanks, was definitely a chilli ride, but not the coldest I've been ![]() I think I'm pretty much set to get one by next winter as I don't like to lock the bike away in the winter months - I miss it too much Mostly trying to figure out if I can justify buying one sooner rather than later... I think later is winning though. Should give me a larger budget to afford one with sleeves as well haha ^^ Re: Heated jacket - Grahamm - 11-02-14 (10-02-14, 11:51 PM)Dead Eye link Wrote: Mostly trying to figure out if I can justify buying one sooner rather than later... I've got one of these windproof jackets which I wear with a very good balaclava and it's really great for keeping me warm. I've got a jacket (with inner liner) from Wolf Racing which goes over the top and underneath I wear a sweatshirt and ordinary shirt and, when combine with my Gerbing Heated gloves keeps me nice and toasty ![]() Re: Heated jacket - Dead Eye - 11-02-14 I do try to layer up, but I don't have any proper thermal gear at the moment. I think the other issue is that I tend to like my environment quite warm ![]() Re: Heated jacket - Grahamm - 12-02-14 (11-02-14, 11:38 AM)Dead Eye link Wrote:I do try to layer up, but I don't have any proper thermal gear at the moment. The jacket along with heated grips keep the chill off on the motorway but cannot use the jacket in town as it just knocks the battery out . The main problem is keeping dry when it's been raining for a few hours . I went to Liverpool with a package two weeks ago , it rained from Stoke to Liverpool and all the way back to London I haven't been that wet in a few years . It also affected the fazer , had to pull into the services to get Wd40 to spray over the electrics to stop the misfiring . |
