Pilot Road 2's, no contest. They last longer than the Bridgestones and Wear better with better grip on the wet. In fact, the wet grip is unreal! The PR3's are just as good but more expensive, same compound just different tread pattern

Pr2/3 are superb tyres for the winter, didn't last me too long on the fz1 though, but I did give them a lot of grief!

Pr3's- 16000 miles on my last rear!
I too thought they were the same compound as the pr2's but have found on the American Michelin site it specifically says it's different!

PR2s for me too, 13k from the last rear before it was punctured and couldn't be repaired. 21k from the front though Smile

7500 miles on my PR3's and the rear is not far from knackered. But 95% of my riding is on the motorway. They are awesome tyres though. Not even noticed winter coming grip wise.
My last continental tyres wore down to the metal before I came anywhere near the wear indicators. Any believe it or not they were still legal until the metal showing through because there was no tread pattern down the centre of the tyre. Not a very safe design, but good for extra miles. My PR3's have already out lasted them though so worth the extra money.

Ive only had BT021's on my fazer, mainly cos it's what was on it when I got it and I have never had any issues with them.
I have been getting average 6K miles from the rear and 10K front.
Has anyone ever gone "backwards" say from a PR2/3 to the older/cheaper BT021's or similar???

I think you'll be hard pushed to find someone who's done this. It certainly won't be me.
I'm so impressed I've even bought a set of 4 Michelins for my car.

PR2 for the last 16000 miles and the rear was punctured 3 years ago and still going strong.
Best tires i ever had.

16,000 miles ???????? are you sure you haven`t had it in the back of a van !!
last time i had a tyre that did that milage i was 4 years old n i had stabilzers the tyres were SOLID Smile

3 different sets, so not a one off, I even had 15000 out of a pr3 rear on my tuned Srad750!

i`m no rossi, lorenzo , or even a god (DOOHAN)

best i`ve ever had is 5+ K out of a metzler

i`ve ridden allsorts 2T`s 4T`s from fsie to tuned gsxr1100`s
