Good Winter Hacks - nick crisp - 20-11-13 Yes, we know - we've known for a long time - nice to see confirmation of what we know already though: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/General-news/2013/November/nov2013-winter-hacks-for-under-1000/ Re: Good Winter Hacks - Kentish - 20-11-13 I regard the old fazer 600 the best one even now. I have had an 08 one I sold it and bought the 2003 foxeye. Fantastic bike Re: Good Winter Hacks - red98 - 20-11-13 got to agree there......a red 98.....best of the lot :lol Re: Good Winter Hacks - stevierst - 20-11-13 Bugger, just sold my last Fazer 600 and bought a TDM850 which is second. Hopefully trading in the TDM for, you guessed it, a Bandit which is in third! :'( Re: Good Winter Hacks - Skippernick - 20-11-13 (20-11-13, 02:06 PM)stevierst link Wrote: Bugger, just sold my last Fazer 600 and bought a TDM850 which is second. At least you still have the mighty thou, and won't personally add to the 600 death rate! Re: Good Winter Hacks - stevierst - 20-11-13 Yeah, took the fz1 out on sat, first outing for a few weeks. Fell in love with the bugger all over again! The tdm is just my work donkey. Re: Good Winter Hacks - kawasutra - 26-11-13 Oil and filter changed yesterday on my 99 Fazer, then took it for a blast. Arrived at the Ace with a huge smile. Glad I chose a Fazer! ![]() Re: Good Winter Hacks - mr self destruct - 26-11-13 I'm not sure I like what they're saying here, by 'winter hack' do they mean that a Fazer is the best bike you wouldn't give a shit about if you got it salted up and rotten or stacked it on the ice? ![]() I was considering putting my Fazer away soon and buying my mate's £300 GS500 hammerite special! You buy one thinking it's a one night stand (one season ride), and end up marrying the bitch! :b Re: Good Winter Hacks - mr self destruct - 26-11-13 (26-11-13, 04:32 PM)kawasutra link Wrote:
You buy one thinking it's a one night stand (one season ride), and end up marrying the bitch! :b
Or in the case of the GS a dirty scutter you pass onto a mate when you get bored. ![]() Re: Good Winter Hacks - kawasutra - 27-11-13 (26-11-13, 04:20 PM)mr self destruct link Wrote: Or in the case of the GS a dirty scutter you pass onto a mate when you get bored. Times of austerity, ain't nothing wrong with sloppy seconds :b Re: Good Winter Hacks - JZS 600 - 27-11-13 Winter hack? It's my pride and joy! Re: Good Winter Hacks - nick crisp - 27-11-13 :rolleyes You guys should take this as a compliment. A good winter hack needs to be reliable, durable, comfortable etc, etc. More pluses in the 600s repertoire. |
