Petrolhead-O-Meter :) - mickvp - 11-11-13 got a wee coding issue I could do with some help with. I cant get a HTML page ive made to link to Facebook. even though I C&P the proper code from Facebook :'( EDIT Code is now fixed and working - linky for anyone who wants a wee shot (feel free to post up your score/share the link with anyone you think will get a laugh out it): Petrolhead-O-Meter 8) Re: Any HTML/Javascript Guru's on here? - Dead Eye - 12-11-13 What is the problem exactly? HTML I can do in my sleep - Javascript I tend not to say anything nice about as it has a habit of biting me but I have plenty of experience with it ![]() Re: Any HTML/Javascript Guru's on here? - mickvp - 12-11-13 The page has a button at the end to "share" on facebook. However, it doesn't work. Everything else works fine. Re: Any HTML/Javascript Guru's on here? - beach700 - 12-11-13 I believe, there are two parts of the Facebook code you have to copy/paste. One part goes inside the <head> and the other part goes where ever you want the FB-Share button on the page (inside <body>). Did you copy both parts? Or does it work differently? Re: Any HTML/Javascript Guru's on here? - mickvp - 12-11-13 Yes, your spot on, one part initializes the SDK, the other is for the button. I'm informed I got it working by someone who uses fb, but for some reason it only works on ie/ff/chrome, not safari. Not a major issue for me really, but still, I wish there were more compatibility between browsers. Re: Any HTML/Javascript Guru's on here? - mickvp - 12-11-13 just incase anyone was interested. the page I was working on was the Petrolhead-o-meter. found here: http://www.vivapotenza.com/petrolhead-o-meter/petrolhead-o-meter.htm 8) Re: Petrolhead-O-Meter :) - mickvp - 13-11-13 well this seems to have gone down pretty well so far - although I think we will need to do a V2 with proper difficult questions as most people seem to score high on this one. cant have that. Re: Petrolhead-O-Meter :) - rustyrider - 13-11-13 I got 95% and I think that is only because two out of my three cars are on LPG. 14-16mpg on petrol would be just too much of a pain in the wallet! Mind you, the one on petrol only does 18mpg...... Yup, make the questions harder. Re: Petrolhead-O-Meter :) - ChristoT - 14-11-13 90%. Therein lies my problem. Oh, for question 1 - add the option "can I race it?" :evil Re: Petrolhead-O-Meter :) - Dead Eye - 15-11-13 100% obviously ![]() Re: Petrolhead-O-Meter :) - mickvp - 15-11-13 (14-11-13, 02:33 AM)ChristoT link Wrote: 90%.
