Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - Fizzy Pies - 13-10-13 Sooo, like a numb fucker I've used just about every comparison site going in the past for bikes I have owned, and Pipe Dream bikes I never got around to buying :lol . Then I started to take an interest in my credit score since were trying to start the process of buying our first home, so after buying a new car on finance and paying it off, phone contracts etc, never missing a payment, never bankrupt, I was expecting perfect, sadly all the searches for insurance has fucked it up! So I'm looking for advice on how to get my details off those parasites websites and a few others too. Thanks for reading about my woes :lol . I had a chat with my bank manager as the only finance I ever had was a mortgage, car loan never ever missed a payment. He phoned someone and the problem vanished, as you say parasite websites. Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - ChristoT - 13-10-13 Wait, how does that work then? Curiosity (inquiring without any purchase) knocks the rating down!?? WTF?!? Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - fazersharp - 13-10-13 (13-10-13, 09:59 PM)Fizzy Pies link Wrote: The final click before your results is, do accept our terms and conditions, which nobody reads right? so you accept and hidden in there is, every quote we give on the list of companies we got you a price for may credit search you. THANKS :'(I dont think that is it as that is just warning that if you take it ferther with said company then THAT company may thake a credit search. What you say about just getting a quote seems wrong to me. You say Quote:so after buying a new car on finance and paying it off, phone contracts etc, never missing a payment, never bankruptI think that this IS the reason for your bad score because you have never missed a payment, and have paid off everything and the car may of been a while ago and now not included, so to them you are an unknown. If you have never missed a bill payment or anything then they have nothing to go on - unlike if you had missed one payment then you have a footprint they can look at and quantify. Thats what I think Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - mickvp - 13-10-13 I was led to believe that most insurance sites did what's called a "soft search", I.e. it comes up on your report, but comes under a different section from "proper" searches for I.e. loans or credit cards. Have you got your £2 statuatory report from experian (they post you a code, takes a few days), and Equifax (you get that instantly online) yet? The other company to check with is call credit, but if you sign up for noddle, you get free access to that one ![]() Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - locksmith - 14-10-13 I'd be surprised if it was the insurance quotes as fazersharp said but maybe it's because you ask for quotes with a monthly payment? I always pay in full and so click that button. I did my online credit check the other month and all was well I'm pleased to say! Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - BBROWN1664 - 14-10-13 I was sorting out my car insurance at the weekend and they said they would carry out a credit check. When I asked why as I was paying in full they just said, ok we won't bother. Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - Tefer - 14-10-13 There is a site called Noddle, its like experian but free, they have a pro option but i don't sign up to that. www.noddle.co.uk Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - red98 - 14-10-13 paying debts off early is not going to help......there not making the expected profit from you so bad customer.....i payed my mortage off early, dont own a penny to anyone, not even on a credit card, store card and no outstanding bills......my credit rating is naff ......there not making any money from me and not likley too so mark me down :\ ...its all a load of bo**ocks Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - fazersharp - 14-10-13 (14-10-13, 11:26 AM)red98 link Wrote: paying debts off early is not going to help......there not making the expected profit from you so bad customer.....i payed my mortage off early, dont own a penny to anyone, not even on a credit card, store card and no outstanding bills......my credit rating is naff ......there not making any money from me and not likley too so mark me down :\ ...its all a load of bo**ocksThats what I was trying to say above. But if you get a better rate than a BTL it may work out just as cheap. Re: Online Tech Advice Please - Need to clean up some personal details - goldfazer - 15-10-13 And yes, contact Experian. I had one blip on my credit report which was wrong. Easily sorted with Experian and British Gas. |
