new HELMET, - taylor - 04-10-13 me going to buy a new helmet as my caberg is windy, money about 350 or less, any ideas anyone the caberg seemed great in the shop but not good, so what have you got? Re: new HELMET, - mickvp - 04-10-13 Flip or solid? For 350, depending on your answer it would be a schuberth c3 (not the new pro), or a nexx r1r carbon. I've got a Nolan at the minute (n103 flipup)... It's horrifically loud. Re: new HELMET, - taylor - 04-10-13 solid cant be having a noisey flip. Re: new HELMET, - nick crisp - 04-10-13 You could go back and have a look at this thread again.... http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,8457.0.html Re: new HELMET, - dBfazer600 - 04-10-13 If your ok having last years cast offs HC is a good on line discount. I did my window shopping in the local shops and got the fit and sizing to suit then went here: http://www.helmetcity.co.uk/categories/2013-Sale/Helmets-Sale/ Daz Re: new HELMET, - Frosties - 05-10-13 (04-10-13, 07:27 PM)taylor link Wrote: me going to buy a new helmet as my caberg is windy, money about 350 or less, any ideas anyone the caberg seemed great in the shop but not good, so what have you got? Caberg Chrono here fella so I share you're pain with noise & leaky visor...........I'm looking at the Shark S900C. Good luck. Re: new HELMET, - Punkstig - 05-10-13 I'm using a scorpion exo 1000 and when it needs replacing I shall buy another one, I like the pump up cheeks as one issue I have with helmets is the padding eventually wears/breaks down making the helmet too big and loose, with the pump up cheeks the helmet will always be snug and secure! (As with 95% of helmets now the lining is completely removeable to throw in the washing machine!) Re: new HELMET, - seangee - 05-10-13 Just got a Shoei GT air and love it. Quietest lid I've ever owned but might have to stretch your budget a bit :\ Re: new HELMET, - TonyW - 05-10-13 I was looking at a reevu the other day. It seems like a good idea, pity I just bought a HJC. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Helmet-The-Reevu-RVMSX1-Rear-View-Helmet-/231048201560?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Helmets&var=530205070180&hash=item35cb8bc558 Re: new HELMET, - Robbus - 05-10-13 I'm in the same boat, even down to owning a Nolan like Mick, N90 flip in my case - utter pap over 40mph. I've even padded it out with extra foam but it's still awful on the motorways. Not sure what I'll go for, thinking of going full face for a change as that should at least have a few less places for wind to get in and whistle around although I do like the convenience of the flip, guess if money was no object then I'd be wearing a Schuberth C3. Heard/read good and bad things about pretty much every helmet I've considered, it's maddening. Shops should really let you try them out for a quick blast before purchase as everyone's different and different bikes cause different wind noises. If I get a full face then I guess there's the Windjammer thing to try as a fall back if it's still bad on M/Ways.
