Expenses Adding Up! - nick crisp - 18-09-13 The list is getting longer!: Ivanising (this Sat, kit paid for, but got to pay Mike for doing) ACF full treatment for winter. Replace exhaust studs and nuts with new stainless items. Service and copper-slip EXUP. Probably could do with a basic service. New rear tyre soon. New (decent) boots and gloves required for winter. Cosmetics - still want a decent belly pan, solid black screen & headlamp covers and want to find some bright led lights to mount under the front cowl "chin" somehow (might have this solved due to a helpful Foccer elsewhere on this forum (could seriously do with a bookmark system on the forum!) Maybe (read most likely) next year now - R1 USD fork conversion and R6 rear shock mod. A few more carbon dip bits. Have I forgotten anything? Oh yeah, win the lottery (first)! Re: Expenses Adding Up! - simonm - 18-09-13 I can recommend these LED's as long as you don't mind looking a bit of a foc'cer (like me :lol) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Car-Strip-Under-Light-Neon-Footwell-30cm-Flexible-SUPER-BRIGHT-18-5050-SMD-/221135627743?var= If you want them shorter you can just take a blade to them every three odd LED's. If you pay more for less you'll find you can get ones with black resin which looks a touch more sophisticated. I didn't bother as I can't hide my lack of sophistication.. Re: Expenses Adding Up! - nick crisp - 18-09-13 What I'd really like to find, is something round, like a small very bright torch, maybe 1" - 2" diameter, multi LED, and mount 2 of them underneath the top cowl. The idea is to compensate for loss of daytime running lamps if I fit solid black h/lamp covers (daytime use only). It's just an idea and may not come to fruition, but if it can be practically done... Re: Expenses Adding Up! - noggythenog - 18-09-13 I know the feeling Nick, my list is ever growing & i just cant help myself. All the while i think to myself i coulda just got a newer bike like a fazer 8 for not much more than my grand total. At least i know what my bike has or hasn't had done though & soon there wont be many old parts left on it. Ill never sell my fazer...even if i do get a new bike ill still be tinkering with the old beast. 8) Re: Expenses Adding Up! - simonm - 18-09-13 http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,9045.msg89987.html#msg89987 Or http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,7513.msg73222.html#msg73222 Perhaps? Dunno. Re: Expenses Adding Up! - nick crisp - 18-09-13 Hmmm, yeah, those bullet lights look like the kind of thing I was thinking of. Cheers Simon :thumbup Now, if I can only remember where to look for this thread when I've left it for about a month and want to actually get on with it... :lol Re: Expenses Adding Up! - simonm - 18-09-13 (18-09-13, 10:39 PM)nick crisp link Wrote: Hmmm, yeah, those bullet lights look like the kind of thing I was thinking of.
