Good deal? - HarryHornby - 10-09-13

Hi All,

Having binned my Fazer down the A249 last week and sitting here with a broken foot as a result, I need some cheering up.  I bought my Fazer from Colwins and they are a good bike shop.  What do you all think about this?

What should I offer??

Re: Good deal? - Punkstig - 10-09-13

Sounds about right coming from a dealer, if it comes with a warranty then not that bad a price, but obviously always offer less!

Re: Good deal? - red98 - 10-09-13

:agree  yep....with that low mileage, thats a good price for a stealer....got to haggle though, start at £1800 and hope to settle on £2000c Wink

Re: Good deal? - HarryHornby - 10-09-13

I want some heated grips on the bike so might do a deal around getting those thrown in and fitted.

Re: Good deal? - noggythenog - 10-09-13

Whip the front sprocket cover off

Note that it has the old small nut

Make a scene about it, if the dealer is typically unaware of the sprocket nut issue (or pretends to be)

Blag money off, fix for a tenner Wink

Re: Good deal? - Lazarus - 10-09-13

ask for a discount since red is slower !

Re: Good deal? - HarryHornby - 10-09-13

red is faster!!! Smile

Re: Good deal? - richfzs - 10-09-13

not if it causes you to throw it down the road, it isn't!! :lol :lol

Re: Good deal? - fazersharp - 10-09-13

Sorry to hear about your off mate but I read about a few offs that ended in a broke foot, and wonder what foot gear they had and if that made any difference. Not lectureing just wonder if these broke feet can be prevented

Re: Good deal? - JZS 600 - 10-09-13

Check the for sale and wanted, very nice looking (silver) one for sale with 6000 on the clock

Re: Good deal? - HarryHornby - 11-09-13

bugger, it's been sold!  :-(

Re: Good deal? - Buzz - 13-09-13

Check out Stooby2's foxeye ..."high" mileage at 52k, but still looks a great deal.  As everyone knows, these bikes go on forever!
