rear wheel jumping noise - psyfi_1 - 30-08-13 okay the chains slapping about had full engine rebuild so its not the engine........ can the reaer wheel being out of alignment do this Re: rear wheel jumping noise - darrsi - 30-08-13 As you are riding, or with bike on centre stand? If on centre stand, normal, don't panic. ![]() If riding - chain tension? Re: rear wheel jumping noise - tat1959 - 30-08-13 Check all the links on the chain, if there are any tight links they make a clunking noise as it goes round the small front sprocket and you can usually feel it jumping through the foot rests as you ride. Re: rear wheel jumping noise - darrsi - 31-08-13 I replied within 4 minutes, that was 13 hours ago, it can't be that bad? :lol Re: rear wheel jumping noise - psyfi_1 - 31-08-13 cheers mate it does do it on the centre stand and a little bit so i will get the rear tyre adjusted cheers mate Re: rear wheel jumping noise - darrsi - 31-08-13 (31-08-13, 10:27 AM)psyfi_1 link Wrote:cheers mate it does do it on the centre stand and a little bit so i will get the rear tyre adjusted cheers mate No weight on rear wheel when on centre stand, it's the momentum of the wheel trying to overtake the chain causing the jumpy effect. Totally normal. Don't stop it by over tightening the chain, or you'll really have problems. Re: rear wheel jumping noise - His Dudeness - 31-08-13 They all jump on the centre stand. Only adjust it if it's out of spec and follow the service manual instructions in the download section. What work did you have done in the rebuild? Seems like not too many people rebuild fazer engines. I can't remember seeing threads on here anyway. Re: rear wheel jumping noise - psyfi_1 - 31-08-13 well yes new gear box piston heads and crankshaft spockets frot rear and chain but yeh mission and lot of money Re: rear wheel jumping noise - darrsi - 31-08-13 (31-08-13, 01:21 PM)psyfi_1 link Wrote:well yes new gear box piston heads and crankshaft spockets frot rear and chain Blimey, what happened there then?
