1000 rear caliper on a 600 - justy1 - 30-08-13 ive read somewhere you can put a 1000 gen1 rear caliper on the 600 (boxeye/foxeye). ive managed to get hold of one. now i sort of remember someone saying it needs to be filed down a touch so it fit. anyone done this mod on here? if so what exactly do you have to do? ive not got the bike to hand at the mo to compare or see what i might have to do. any help would be great. thanks justy1000 Re: 1000 rear caliper on a 600 - kebab19 - 30-08-13 I think you need to be in the FZS600 forum, Justy - the FZ6's caliper is not underslung Only a small degree of filing performed on the mounting plate to make it fit - piece 'a' p1ss :lol Re: 1000 rear caliper on a 600 - DryRob - 30-08-13 Offer the new caliper up to the bracket and you'll see where to file, it's not too much to take off. File the bracket, not the caliper though.
