Why did i have to crash mine!!!! :'(

Hey chris, do bikes in shetland last a decade with all that sea air?

If so yours is a candidate for the status, but wouldnt you just wanna ride it though instead of it being stuck in the shed.

Re: Visordown top ten classics - Chris - 28-08-13

Mines kept in a heated garage and washed regularly so not too bad but yes, everything rusts much faster here, so much salt in the air that it ruins everything.

I want my Mk1 back!

Re: Visordown top ten classics - richfzs - 28-08-13

I've still got my mk1,and I'm keeping it :-)

Although the cynic in me says that anything that appears on a list like this, automatically doesn't make the grade :eyes

Re: Visordown top ten classics - Strifae - 28-08-13

Wish I had kept mine Sad 56000 miles and going strong!

Re: Visordown top ten classics - caretaker - 28-08-13

mine has been for sale but no takers so i'm seriously thinking of keeping it as a fair weather bike. its in good standard condition with 25000 genuine miles. wife's not impressed tho.

Do it buddy, then you can come out on the next Wales run around mid wales  Smile

Plus with the added bonus of being able to tell me that mine will never be a classic like yours because it is
Ugly & has no fairing & it has too much bling! Wink

Plus if you are ever desperate to sell it at a much cheapness price i will have it, like cash generator except for bikes :b

Re: Visordown top ten classics - VNA - 28-08-13

Not sure it's a future classic though.  It does become so, I'd say it will be the first lot with the abominable headlamps.

VFR750FR-V is a certainty.
Mid 90's CBR600F is another I'd say.

99/00 R1 for sure.

93-95 ish 900 Speed Triple.

First Bandit 1200's.
