Re: England V Scotland - Samaha - 14-08-13

All the while Hodge-podge keeps selecting Cleverley, Welbeck and an injured Rooney anybody we play has got a chance.

Re: England V Scotland - mickvp - 14-08-13

So, 3-2 to England in the end. Never mind, we lost the battle...but still, I laughed at this:

have to say I enjoyed the match and england should have scored at least 2 more....wasnt a walkover though.

Re: England V Scotland - bigbluebear - 15-08-13

Scots are great fans - the ones I saw in Serbia when they came - positive energy, good cheering, it was great having them.

good game, I think Citeh will be looking to off load Joe, he's gone sh*t since he done them ads for wash n go or whatever

Re: England V Scotland - fireblake - 15-08-13

A great game, both teams played well. Rooney is still knackered and so chuffed for Lambert, even though he's a Scummer.  :rollin

Think you're right. Lots of hammered Jocks milling around London last night. Made bike riding around Trafalgar Square a pretty scary activity.

Never understood the attraction of football. Rugby's more my game. Of course, being Scottish, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than support England in whatever sport (apart from motorcycle racing that is Smile ).

What other sports can combine the speed, strength, fitness and athleticism, while at the same time incorporating style, technique, tactics, fluidity, teamwork, graft, entertainment (or lack of, sometimes thanks to tactics) with the regular shocks of results of underdogs. There are few that combine all that and more and thats the reason its the world game.

Exactly. Of all the sports I know, football is the one where the underdog have the greatest chance of winning (or getting a draw) - compared to underdogs in other sports ofcourse, not compared to favourites they play against.
