Evening admins

Been trying about 6 times to put up a witty response to one of Kosmic's posts. 403 errors. Arrgh!!

Looked at the error log which was flooded by bloody tapashit entries. Fixed that, so if it happens again let us know. Also there's now a 403 page that may give useful info so please paste it here.

Will have a look at the server log later, see what clues it gives.

Incidentally I do not have the money of Google, Microsoft, etc who have expensive servers with 100% uptime. I can only afford shared hosting and so there will be occasional downtimes and error messages.

99.9% - which I'm pretty sure we achieve as the site is very rarely down. The problems we have had have been resolved by switching servers, something we've needed to do twice as the site gained in popularity and therefore usage.

you should think about monetising more, and get a trader supporting your site, should help subsidize your hosting costs Smile

Not at the minute thanks, but if / when we need to upgrade then yes I'll be asking for contributions. But for now the cost is low enough for it not to be worth the hassle Smile

The site's always been ad-free and I don't want to be the admin that changed that.
