Its universal. Very easy to fit on the FZS. You can download model specific fitting instructions from the scott oiler website. I have looked on ebay and priced this lower than any other new one on there. Retail is £89.99. I have one on my bike. I purchased two. One for mine and one for my mates bike. He sold his so this was never ever used. Its brand new.

Can't recommend scottoilers enough. Your chain will last almost twice as long with one. Fit and forget. Just make sure you check the oil reservoir every now and then. If you are patient you can fit one so you can't even see it. Have a look on the show me your bike page in the fzs600 folder, page 18 silver box eye, I have one fitted and you'd be hard pushed to tell.

Yeah they are a good bit of kit. Chain last for ages with one fitted.

If you mean the dual injector then no you have to buy that as an extra and they ain't no good an look ugly. Don't waste your money on one.

According to Scottoiler page this requires a vacuum damper assembly to fit FZS600. Is this included in the kit? If so, I'm interested in the kit (provided it's still for sale)

Yep, all the kits come with one that fits straight on. Its on the end of the thin black tubing with a right angle bend in it. That plugs straight in top of your carb where the little black rubber bung is. It just softens the vacuum pulses to the scottoiler so it doesn't break it.

Also here's where I put mine, not a bad place to mount the reservoir, keeps it out of the way and stops it getting nicked!

I have one question though - do you remove and replace the zip-ties every time you fill up the reservoir or have you come up with some clever way of doing it in situ?

It can be filled in situ mate. Mines is the same, there's a bit pops off the side which the filler pipe goes onto Smile

Gentlemen I'm pretty chuffed about the helpful suggestions, much appreciated! Sorry this thread has been my first time posting in foc-u, been lurking for a while though.

BTW I replied to PM so when I get the details I'm happy to pay and finally give bike the attention it deserves.

Can you use regular engine oil in scotoilers?

Yamaha specify engine oil in FZS600 manual so I don't see why not, really. I haven't heard any Scottoiler owners run into issues with using engine oil.

To be honest mate just use any oil in it. You could even use old engine oil and it'll be OK as long as it doesn't have too much shit in it. I'm using half and half old oil/ new oil. Have a look in places like wilko/ home bargains for cheap shit oil.
