Re: yum - nick crisp - 26-06-13

Now that looks good. Vinyl wrap vs. Dipping - what's best? Or is one better for some things, and the other...? I'd be interested to read about how both processes are done.

Re: yum - devilsyam - 26-06-13

done both and dipping for me

Re: yum - nick crisp - 26-06-13

Any particular reason?

Re: yum - devilsyam - 26-06-13

finish and durability

Re: yum - nick crisp - 26-06-13

Sorry, one more...example on this thread is dipping?

Re: yum - Falcon 269 - 27-06-13

That's some funky stuff.  Can see this becoming very popular provided it's not crazy expensive. Smile

Re: yum - ghostbiker - 27-06-13

How's it comparable with powder coat on price and durability?

Re: yum - stevierst - 27-06-13

Oh shit. That's got my creative juices flowing!
How much did that little lot cost ya Devilsyam?

Re: yum - nick crisp - 27-06-13

On the Aquagraphix site, example prices are given. Lots of carbon ones to choose from, but can't tell from pics which one is Devilsyam's close-up example here. But I guess a discussion with them would soon solve that. Mentioned it to a colleague at work, and the interest was instant! Mike, I reckon you're right - this could take off big time! Who'll be the first to go way overboard and have everything done in carbon?  :rolleyes

Re: yum - Ian-man - 30-06-13

My mate is just setting up a business doing this stuff. He will be able to do stuff up to 2m long, car bumpers etc. He will be up and running in about 8 weeks. So I might be the one to go over board lol.

Re: yum - ChristoT - 30-06-13

Devilsyam - see carbon whore.  :lol :lol

All jokes aside, looks the mutts' nuts man!  Smile

Re: yum - Tmation - 01-07-13

There is another company that does dipping, it was on the wheeler dealers programme in March this year.
