New Fazer 8 - Fatwasp - 24-06-13 New Fazer 8 Touring Screen and Akrapovic. I'm really pleased and seem to be able to access the performance a lot more easily than on my recent Fazer1. I think it will improve as I run it in. Have to say that first impressions are that it's nimble, torquey and sure-footed. Fuel economy has pleasantly surprised me and I really don't feel as though I've compromised from the litre bike whilst gaining more practical advantages. I used to go through fuel and rear tyres at an alarming rate and commute 12 months a year. Overall - early days but i'm chuffed. Re: New Fazer 8 - ChristoT - 25-06-13 Looks very tidy! ![]() Re: New Fazer 8 - Andy FZS - 25-06-13 Looking good Re: New Fazer 8 - sure2ride - 25-06-13 Yep, +1 for looking good. I reckon the Fazer 8 is a good bike, enjoy.. ![]() Re: New Fazer 8 - Phil - 25-06-13 Nice one, I quite like the all black colours. How do you rate the fairing/screen against the Fazer1? I went for the 800 as I thought it would offer more wind/weather protection being slightly bigger, and haven't been disappointed. Re: New Fazer 8 - sure2ride - 26-06-13 I think the standard screen on the Fazer8 is the best I have ever had. I bought the tall touring screen thinking if might give more protection, it's ok but I do think its noisier (at least for me) than the standard. Where I really did notice a difference though was when I was travelling at high speeds, the taller screen was a smooth as anything. Keeping the standard on though as I don't often travel at those speeds. ![]() Re: New Fazer 8 - Fatwasp - 30-06-13 The touring screen does a great job of keeping the flies out of my teeth and allows for comfortable cruising up to 100. That said, I'm only 5ft 8 so I can't account for any turbulence for taller riders. I'm struggling to find fault to be honest. The rear shock is a bit choppy on bumpy roads at speed. I might add a bit of preload to the rear but am hesitant as it may make things worse and the only thing that would deal with these shitty roads is a landrover. I'm still running it in but have to say that in the real world it is a far better package than my FZ1 Fazer... 99% of the time... for me. Re: New Fazer 8 - sure2ride - 30-06-13 Nice one, ....I agree, great bikes ![]() Re: New Fazer 8 - blueowl - 08-08-13 I've had a Fazer 800 since June put 2000 miles on it and it's brilliant, much better than the Triumph Tiger 1050 I had before. Off to Scotland on it in September can't wait. Re: New Fazer 8 - Exupnut - 08-08-13 So mr eddie.... Next time u post up fer a "bimble" remember to invite us....... Pete, all your replies are in the wrong threads; have you been at the Polish lager again? :lol Re: New Fazer 8 - Bracechenko - 09-08-13 Very nice ![]() Is it me or are they starting to look a little more 'proper'? My memory of the first ones I saw made me think that they look a little cheap especially when comparing to the FZ1. That one with gold forks and shiny downpipes looks good |
