HANDLE BAR RISERS - jason1 - 22-06-13 Hi , Not been on here for some time , but still been out there enjoying my fazer ![]() Re: HANDLE BAR RISERS - jonesthesteam - 22-06-13 Hi, I recently tried the below, they fitted easily on my 2001 fzs600 but I don't think the cables would allow any higher ones as it was a tight fit, i have to say they didn't make much difference and I have now taken them off,I think for a bad back it would be probably better to have some up and back risers which are more expensive and may need some altering of cables? Re: HANDLE BAR RISERS - jason1 - 22-06-13 Thanks for info , looks like some more homework needed to get best way forward , without going too £££. Re: HANDLE BAR RISERS - Punkstig - 23-06-13 Got a set of multi height ones (different sized plates that you can add or remove) from m&p for £15.95 delivered They were advertised in MCN a few weeks ago, I couldn't find them on the website, had to type in the product code. They're still not on the website and I no longer know what the code is, so this post is of little use to you! Re: HANDLE BAR RISERS - kebab19 - 24-06-13 Problem with FZS 600 risers is that they are angled back to avoid the fairing, whereas most other bikes have vertical risers & the fairing further forward. Extenders such as those pointed out by JonestheSteam above are one option (and the cheapest), higher Renthal bars the other. Vertical risers such as those from a FZS1000 would probably lead to the bars fouling the fairing on full lock. You could move the fairing forward an inch by fabricating metal plates like i did with my TRX850 & that would allow higher, vertical bar risers or more handlebar choice, but bear in mind it's a bit of grief. Sadly I don't have any decent pics of the Fazer's fairing moved forward, just the TRX. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,5993.0/nowap.html Re: HANDLE BAR RISERS - adeejaysdelight - 25-06-13 I had a similar problem with my back, so I adjusted the position of the handlebars toward me by a bit. Basicaly, I sat on the bike with the bars loose and rolled them toward me until it felt like a natural position. I have done many miles since, some long days too, and the bad back is gone. Only issue is the turning circle is slightly larger than before. Also, its free ![]() |
