Sanding Forks and maybe painting - Dcock - 19-06-13 Hi, so lately I have been thinking about sanding down the bottom part of my forks and either spraying them silver or just keeping it brushed aluminium as they're quite flakey. Has anyone had a go at this and got any tips? would you remove the forks to do this or just remove the wheel and mudguard? Thanks, Dan Re: Sanding Forks and maybe painting - reillypadraig - 20-06-13 packie just sanded his down and sprayed his black(before bike packed up) not sure what paint, but you could message him for tips? cant find the link either to a picture of this but its here somewhere Re: Sanding Forks and maybe painting - darrsi - 20-06-13 Remove forks, paint stripper, wet 'n' dry down, primer, silver spray, lacquer, sorted ![]() Re: Sanding Forks and maybe painting - ponkster - 20-06-13 did my forks with satin black hamerite smooth ( spray) - came out good and are easy to keep looking good. |
