security at home - snapper - 17-06-13 with so many things being pinched from your garden, shed and garage now days I wonder if this may be good ? https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/thursday-specialbuys-20th-june/product-detail/ps/p/wildlife-camera Re: security at home - dBfazer600 - 17-06-13 I like the look of it and its inexpensive. As to its shelf live only one way to find out, get oen and try it. Nice find :thumbup Daz Re: security at home - Lazarus - 17-06-13 it would be good to see who nicked what. this, on the other hand, might stop it being nicked at all Re: security at home - snapper - 17-06-13 this, on the other hand, might stop it being nicked at all I like your thinking , but unfortunately not everyone could have one ! Re: security at home - Fazerider - 17-06-13 Quite tempting at that price, though Aldi haven't provided much information. It'd be nice to see an example of the image quality and as for battery requirements, field-of-view, video format, whether an SD card is supplied that's all left for us to guess. It might not be much use as a security camera unless you can place it out of reach: with the images being stored in the unit itself any thief who sees it will get a free wildlife cam and the evidence. :lol Re: security at home - ponkster - 17-06-13 Scrotes have a high tech way of defeating evan a high end cctv system - its called a hoodie and balaclava ! They usually put up information on the day it goes on sale. But the pics are usually as is sold. Daz Re: security at home - Slaninar - 17-06-13 Video won't get your goods back. There are those reflectors with motion sensor - that switch on when someone passes. That's a good thing. And a dog if they don't practice poisoning dogs. Re: security at home - rayburn600 - 17-06-13 This would be better & cheaper as you could plug it in to mains, to keep it charged. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Viper-K6000-Full-1080P-HD-G-SENSOR-Dashcam-Carcam-Smartcam-2-HD-Dash-Cam/271224164064?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D8445755909077396657%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D271224164064%26 Re: security at home - stevierst - 17-06-13 Smartwater on EVERYTHING!!! The little cu**s don't know its there, and it takes ages to get it off their skin, even longer off their clothes (because they tend not to wash too often). :2guns Re: security at home - JZS 600 - 17-06-13 What ever happened to the alarm mine :evil Re: security at home - nick crisp - 17-06-13 Or wiring the garage door up to the mains... Re: security at home - stevierst - 17-06-13 Or just get ED209 in your garage as home security. :lol ![]() Re: security at home - chaz - 17-06-13 It's no good it's a wildlife camera what you need is a pondlife camera? Re: security at home - hightower - 18-06-13 I reckon it will work a treat, for all of about 3 seconds before it gets nicked ![]() Re: security at home - BBROWN1664 - 18-06-13 Two big noisy dogs has always worked for me.
