Well guys, as is the way with a new bike to yourself, you feel the need to give it a bit of a check, and do personalise it a bit - make it more your own.

Aside from the front sprocket nut, are there any other hidden things that need to be checked on Fazer? She certainly runs and looks fine, but anything on the inside that would be a good shout?

Also want to personalise her a bit, the brakes are on the original lines and feel a little squishy (although sure pull the bike up hard when slammed on!) so I'll be getting a set of braided hoses for her. Will also be after a monokey compatible topbox rack to pop a box back on her, and possibly a few other bits if money allows - particularly want a Scottoiler and possibly a bagster tank cover (if I can figure out what colour it is I've got!).

Are there any particular modifications that make a really big riding difference to a Fazer 6? The screen I feel could be a tad higher, but I'm going to leave it at the moment as it does limit my motorway cruising speed nicely to about 85! Only other thing I can think of along these lines are possibly changing the handlebars as they do feel quite upright and close, which is a bit of an odd feeling!

Also got a rear seat that has a rip in it to get recovered, would make sense to get it reshaped to make it a bit more comfy whils I'm at it - anyone able to recommend any good shapers in the Leicestershire/general Midlands area?

Not true!  :rolleyes

Personally I can't stand the ones with built in indicators
the indicators can't be seen clearly, too narrow a space to notice exactly what someone's intentions are!

I stand corrected darris thanks,  some car's are worse if they use them

Hey, so just to make sure, if you buy the tail unit with integrated indicators, you can get rid of the old indicators and it will still pass an MOT?

Re: Things to check/first bits to buy: - yamy - 16-06-13

that's what darris said mate but they are £80 ish

Re: Things to check/first bits to buy: - darrsi - 16-06-13

I left the old ones on as well, it doesn't hurt having a bit of extra lighting when it's dark, and they synced up okay.
