Here are some pics of the Beemer for sale (if I've done the photo thing right). It's being sold by an aquaintance (reliable type) and I rather fancy the bike myself but don't have time to fettle another bike. I understand it comes with a spare seat unit and the original mirrors. Details to follow tomorrow.

BMW R80 MONO Details.
The bike is in the Southend Essex area.
The bike is of 1986 vintage but doesn't come with any history, although it has a TIC suffix in the logbook which I'm told means it was owned by the police. The previous owner also told me it was rebuilt by a police mechanic before it was sold to him. I can't vouch for this but wouldn't be surprised as it is a nice quiet motor and there is no smoke from the exhaust. The cycle parts are all present and correct as far as I know and fitted properly -except the mirrors which are removed for sprucing up. The loom is from an RT by the looks of it since there is extra wiring length on the lighting circuit around the headlamp. The bike has a brand new battery.
Bad bits. The seat is the right one but is sitting a little low on its hinges and needs fiddling with, it locks down securely though. A spare R100 seat comes with the bike which fits.
The mileage shown is 5800 miles, almost certainly not the real mileage, more likely the original clocks simply became scruffy and/or scratched and were replaced with a better set. I would doubt very much that it's been round the clock although of course it might have been.
It's on a SORN, so you would need a van or trailer to pick up if you wanted it. I paid £1400 for it which is just below the average market price, on ebay they go from about £1200 to £1800. I want it to go quick so £1300 or thereabouts is all I want for it.

Price of the BMW has now dropped to £1150.
It's taking up much needed room so it has to go, to a good home hopefully.
