Im new & need advice !engine management light keeps coming on at about 6000 revs - coolhandluke - 10-06-13
The other day i ragged the bike in 1st past a restaurant full of customers just cos im a divvy and since then karma's been a bitch and most times i take the bike past 6000 revs in gears 1,2 and 3 the engine light pops on but then goes once i stop accelerating hard. Any one got any ideas as to why it may come on? it is probably due an oil change and new spark plugs so i will see how it goes once ive changed them. Im new to FOC-U so hi to all

It's probably just the oil level switch detecting the fact that the oil has slopped to the back of the engine while you're accelerating. New oil (which will be slightly more viscous) and topping it up to nearer the top of the sight glass should solve the problem.
