FZS600 VS Modern Machines - noggythenog - 30-05-13 Not a standard FZS600 but one thats had a little bit o money thrown at suspension.Brakes in my opinion are fine & the engine more than capable & quick as is. Not counting ABS How does it compare with modern machines????,anyone come back to the FZS from a supposedly more exotic machine???? How much are we talking for the best suspension on offer or the next best thing at a reasonable price & how long will this stuff last ie - if the fazer did see an end then could you re coup a good chunk of the money through resale if it was ohlins???,standard shocks are supposedly done in after 10k so how long does the good stuff last? Re: FZS600 VS Modern Machines - noggythenog - 31-05-13 Ok so that last post was a bit long winded Anyone know the life span of a good shock, how many miles???? Hagon, nitron, ohlins When its passed its best then how much to get them reconditioned & do any of the above recondition better/cheaper than the others? Cheers! Re: FZS600 VS Modern Machines - kebab19 - 31-05-13 If you hang on about a week I'll get back with another (cheaper) alternative ;-) Re: FZS600 VS Modern Machines - Fuzzy - 31-05-13 Going rate is about £100 for a rebuild every 20,000 miles or so. You can get the oem shock rebuilt for around the same price too. |
