Rust! - Muzzychris - 30-05-13 Has anybody got good ideas of cleaning (trying to avoid replacing) The various bolts/ nuts on the bike. Cheers! Re: Rust! - Lez72 - 30-05-13 I normally use a 'Dremel' with a 'corse' or 'medium' grade mop type attachment if I'm feeling tight. If you don't have a 'Dremel' or similar tool though they can be quite expensive so you might find you could replace a lot of the fixings with new ones for similar money. However, the 'Dremel' will last a long time and come in useful for many different jobs ![]() Re: Rust! - alan sherman - 31-05-13 I went stainless for most of them years ago. Well worth it. I even splashed out on some titanium disc bolts. I hate rust. An alternative would be to paint the current one. Or clean them and cover them in grease. |
