There you go, 10,000 miles of chain lubing for less than 40 quid! There you go, 10,000 miles of chain lubing for less than 40 quid! I only said it was interesting, not a must have ;-). It was mentioned in ride this month as some Norwegian bloke had one. I was curious about it. It's an interesting concept if nothing else. Re: interesting alternative to a scottoiler - Punkstig - 13-05-13 Tubing from halfords £2.50 Cable ties- whatever you have already lying about Syringe from eBay £1.50 Inject 10ml or so before going for a ride, remove the syringe and let gravity do its job! Cheap as chips and works fine, I had a scottoiler dual injector lying about so used that, but you can put a bicycle spoke or similar in the tubing in order to get the correct angle onto the sprocket! Only takes ten minutes or so to set the tube in the right place. Re: interesting alternative to a scottoiler - Skippernick - 13-05-13 Maybe the idea is to cut out the mess? ![]() Re: interesting alternative to a scottoiler - Punkstig - 13-05-13 Which I see and completely understand, but that price to lube the chain for so few miles just so you don't have to wipe her arse so often!? :eek Re: interesting alternative to a scottoiler - stevierst - 13-05-13 (13-05-13, 11:10 AM)Punkstig link Wrote: Tubing from halfords £2.50I've done similar on two bikes now, but I used a hand sanitizer pump bottle. Did the same job as your syringe, but just looked a bit pants. Cost me bugger all though, and saved my chain for a year or two. But then again I am a notorious tight RS : ![]() Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2 Re: interesting alternative to a scottoiler - Skippernick - 13-05-13 (13-05-13, 03:49 PM)Punkstig link Wrote: Which I see and completely understand, but that price to lube the chain for so few miles just so you don't have to wipe her arse so often!? :eek :lol :lol |
