C spanner in the 600 toolkit - mobile mouse - 10-05-13 Hi, About to upgrade my rear shock on my FZS600 foxeye from std to the FZS1000 shock with the 600 spring as described on the forum. My question is: Do I need to buy a different C spanner for the spring preload adjusting ring. Or can I use the C spanner in the 600 toolkit to do the same job on the 1000 shock. regards, Re: C spanner in the 600 toolkit - Andy FZS - 10-05-13 Sorry I can't answer your question but I'm interested in the modification, any chance of a review a couple of pictures once done. Good luck Andy Sent from my GT-N8010 using Tapatalk 2 Re: C spanner in the 600 toolkit - mobile mouse - 10-05-13 Hi, Find the info in the following link to a post started 12th Nov 2012. I am following the instructions from wezdavo: http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,5396.msg55109.html#msg55109 regards, Re: C spanner in the 600 toolkit - acid drop - 11-05-13 if your c spanner is the same size then yes you can use it Re: C spanner in the 600 toolkit - Fuzzy - 12-05-13 Would be interested to hear about how easy it is to change the preload on the thou shock (esp when on the 600).... harder than the standard shock? Yes, a bit more of a pain when thou shock is fitted to the 600.. Re: C spanner in the 600 toolkit - Fuzzy - 12-05-13 Thanks wezdavo. That's a bit of a bummer though. I'm always taking different loads so easy adjustment of preload is a must. Standard 600 shock is quite easy to adjust, shame its such a budget item. I guess the only other alternative is a costly aftermarket shock with a remote adjuster ![]() |
