I use one of these on my gen 2 FZ1S. Just as good as a tank cover but cheaper and can be used on any bike.

Cheaper, yes, but no where near as good protection wise. I have the full cover on mine and it's the best thing I have put on the bike. Wait till you get a mark on your tank and the regrets start to come in
