Leaking Coolant pipes? - Jimmygixxer - 14-04-13 I got my engine put back in the fazer last week. I then noticed that there was a coolant leak from one of the metal pipes which sits inbetween the inlet rubbers. :\ So i took the carbs back out and fitted another same size oring seal to the pipe and reassembled. Seamed to cure it. But today i noticed its leaking again and the other one beside it is doing it now as well. What is the proper fix for this? Do i need to get the biggest o ring on it i can because the one bolt that holds the pipe to the engine doesnt exactly push it very tight into the engine. Re: Leaking Coolant pipes? - Kage7 - 14-04-13 Either pop to a hardware store and get the correct size o-ring, or better yet pop to a Yamaha dealership and get the part there, i'm sure they're not too much (part number 93210-15414). Also ensure that the bolt holding the pipes onto the head are correctly torqued (i.e. not loose) Re: Leaking Coolant pipes? - Jimmygixxer - 14-04-13 The new one i fitted was the same size as the yamaha one which came out and the bolts are correctly tightened? |
