cdi/ecfu unit - fazerblue - 30-03-13 My cdi/ecu unit needs replaceing when I checked out the net to buy one two different part numbers came up one is 5lv-82305-00 and the other is 5lv-82305-40 every one is advertising them both as suitable for all fzs1000 2001-2005 does any one know if this is true or are they persiphic to individual machines many thanks for any help. Re: cdi/ecfu unit - Falcon 269 - 30-03-13 I think they're different. Off the top of my head, I seem to recall one type has a single electrical connector, while the other has two. Unfortunately, none of the fiches I looked at made it any clearer but I suggest you check the number of connectors plugging into yours and at least ensure that the replacement has the same. ![]() Re: cdi/ecfu unit - fazerblue - 30-03-13 I believe the unit with 2 connectors fits the r1 and the unit with 1 connector fits the fzs1000 although they have different model numbers I have been told they will be ok for all fzs1000 years 2001-2005 would just like to be sure Re: cdi/ecfu unit - Falcon 269 - 31-03-13 You're probably right about the R1 / FZS1000 ECUs. My bad ... I've got a '99 R1 in the garage which is perhaps why I got them confused. ![]() Re: cdi/ecfu unit - devilsyam - 31-03-13 seem to recall there was an issue fitting later ones because of the daytime lights on from bike 03 onwards this wouldnt work with pre 03 Re: cdi/ecfu unit - fazerblue - 31-03-13 Iam looking at getting one from a 2003 bike but it has the same part number what do you think? Re: cdi/ecfu unit - AdieR - 03-04-13 Daft as it may sound, why does your ECU require replacement? They aren't items that normally fail. Re: cdi/ecfu unit - red98 - 03-04-13 is there a part number on your old ecu ? |
