GoPro placement - cbx63 - 17-02-13 Just wondering where you guys mount your gopro / action cams on the bike not helmet. Tried the suction mount on the screen, view was great but the vibration made it unwatchable was thinking of getting the handlebar/seat post mount and try it on the mirror stems. Any other suggestions. Re: GoPro placement - Tilts - 17-02-13 Get the chesty, best mounting system there is. Re: GoPro placement - bigfootpete - 18-02-13 I've got mine on the left side mirror - still get a little too much vibration though - see my latest video I just posted... Re: GoPro placement - Tilts - 18-02-13 an old vid I done with a chesty, in my VTwin days ![]() http://vimeo.com/m/26134079 Re: GoPro placement - cbx63 - 19-02-13 Thanks for the reply guys i was thinking of the mirror , what mount have you used pete? done really fancy the chest mount think my belly might get in the way ... Re: GoPro placement - Tilts - 19-02-13 nah, you'llbe fine, sits nicely between the moobs. Re: GoPro placement - fireblake - 20-02-13 Tilts, that was really good. I think I'll mount mine on on my chest. Is there a bespoke harness? Mickey Re: GoPro placement - Tilts - 20-02-13 yes Mickey, I would never mount one on the bike again after using the chesty, better view, secure, and no risk of marking your bike. http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/gopro-chest-mount-harness.htm Re: GoPro placement - Rebuilt - 20-02-13 I got ythe braun six sixty helmet cam from dogcam ... its very good so far .. i also mounted it onto the cheek of helmet this also works welll with no real vibration ...just got to position it right and away you go i cansee the sense of the chest rig though ...not tried mine on my mirror yet Re: GoPro placement - bigfootpete - 21-02-13 I've got the rollbar mount: http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/roll-bar-mount It's the only place I can put it - I think the handlebar mount would fit ok - but you would see too much screen. The fork legs are too fat - I've heard that that makes a good viewpoint. Another £35 for the chest mount... Might have to consider it - along with a spare battery. Re: GoPro placement - karlo - 21-02-13 I find these cope with most mounting situations, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Bike-Bicycle-Camera-Handlebar-Mount-tripod-mount-adapter-For-GoPro-/261155777948?pt=UK_Tripods_Monopods&hash=item3cce18ed9c http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Window-Suction-Cup-Mount-Tripod-Holder-for-Camera-/300739373708?pt=UK_Tripods_Monopods&hash=item460576aa8c Re: GoPro placement - fireblake - 21-02-13 I'm loving the chest mount but also would like to mount on the radiator or somewhere about that area so i can film the front suspension working and maybe see the wheel skimming the ground (just a little bit) One of the best films i've seen is Hizzy on the Isle of Man using this shot, absolutely awesome. Mickey Re: GoPro placement - t140 - 21-02-13 Where the crash bungs mount gives good results, Re: GoPro placement - fireblake - 22-02-13 (21-02-13, 11:26 AM)fireblake link Wrote: I'm loving the chest mount but also would like to mount on the radiator or somewhere about that area so i can film the front suspension working and maybe see the wheel skimming the ground (just a little bit) Steve Hislop - TT Flyer - Honda VFR 750 After hours of searching I found this. Shame it isn't a USD fork though Mickey Re: GoPro placement - karlo - 23-02-13 ATC2K mounted on Crash Mushroom: Actioncam test PT2 Re: GoPro placement - fireblake - 23-02-13 Jasper Carrot, at his best.
