hows the orientation of the pictures on your PC? you can rotate them whilst you view within Windows Explorer.

I've uploaded from my phone and the pictures are the right way up in the gallery, I'm not sure how to change the rotation?

You can either edit it on the phone or upload it to the media section up there towards the right of the tabs.
If you create a wee folder in there it lets you edit all the photies, you can play about with them and then insert directly from there.
