Re: Horex VR6 - Dead Eye - 23-01-13

It does look lovely and something about a 6 cylinder bike is appealing for no apparent reason Tongue

Re: Horex VR6 - chris.biker - 24-01-13

Call me picky but did the mirrors look like they would give you a good rear view or just a close up on your elbows.  :lol

A really classy bike, another thing to buy when my premium bonds come up.

Re: Horex VR6 - Fordy - 24-01-13

is there any diagrames of the engine

Re: Horex VR6 - DryRob - 24-01-13

"Another innovation is a chain and sprocket lubrication system, which continuously applies a thin film of graphite to the chain"

Sounds expensive, think I'll wait for a second hand model  Smile

The graphite chain lube is not that expensive, I saw it at the Paris bike show in 2011, basically it's a block of graphite mounted on the swinging arm that the bottom of the chain rubs on intermittently as the suspension does it's thing.

Re: Horex VR6 - pitternator - 24-01-13

I love that fabulous hairpin !

horex looks cool, almost like that honda cb1100 in styling from a distance.... Smile

6cyl engines always sound superb....

Interestingly I thought it looked like it had a drive belt?

Re: Horex VR6 - caretaker - 24-01-13

nah, not my cup of tea. you still cant beat the wail of a street triple in full song. half the engine, easily half the price and doesnt cost the earth when you bin it!

+2
although clearly not looking the same it also reminds me a little of that bike Philippe Starck designed and I didn't like that either.
