Handlebars - wezdavo - 20-01-13 Can anybody recommend a lower handle bar for a 600 foxeye, somthing abit more sporty? Pics with them on would be great ![]() Re: Handlebars - wezdavo - 20-01-13 Anyone?? Re: Handlebars - Dead Eye - 20-01-13 Not many people tend to change the bars - may be worth searching other topics on the forum as I think this has come up once or twice ![]() Re: Handlebars - kebab19 - 20-01-13 Renthal 758 bars Re: Handlebars - unfazed - 20-01-13 You could try turning the orignals upside down first to see how it would look and feel . It would also let you determine what kind of clearance you would have with the fairing on full lock. Re: Handlebars - Motorbreath - 20-01-13 FZ1's one doesn't fit. It is too low for the tank. Re: Handlebars - stevierst - 20-01-13 +1 for the 758's, or ultra lows as they're also known. miles better than standard bars for the FZS 600 :b Re: Handlebars - Yamazer-92 - 20-01-13 I was going to get some 758's myself until my mate got them on his bandit first and let me try them out, I know its not the same bike but the bars were definitely Renthal 758's and for me personally they felt awkward, the width was nice but they inverted a bit strange where you grip them I felt. Just thought I would be awkward for you ![]() Re: Handlebars - stevierst - 20-01-13 I found them spot on for me as there wasn't quite as much sweep bending your wrists back. I've seen some Fazer 600's with road medium, and superbike lows which are a bit wider with similar sweep and height as standard I think. Re: Handlebars - stevierst - 20-01-13 Have a look on here and see what you'd like compared to your standard bars. http://www.renthalroad.com/File/product_78handlebars.aspx Re: Handlebars - Yamazer-92 - 20-01-13 Yeah that is a nice little table actually, clearly shows the differences of all of them. I do want to swap the standards, I am not a big fan of chrome and they are a little narrow for me personally but I dont know I just found the sweep of his a bit far even though on that table they are less than most of the others. I think I will just get them anyway and angle them a bit more upwards than his were. Re: Handlebars - stevierst - 20-01-13 Superbike lows maybe? A bit more sweep than the ultra's, but not as much as the standard chrome things that I hate too! ![]() Re: Handlebars - trudd - 20-01-13 Doesn't really answer the question but I posted a picture in the following thread that shows the difference in sweep angle of my Renthals. http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,5853.msg51627.html#msg51627 Re: Handlebars - wezdavo - 20-01-13 (20-01-13, 09:37 PM)trudd link Wrote: Doesn't really answer the question but I posted a picture in the following thread that shows the difference in sweep angle of my Renthals. I take it the 754's or of a similar height to the oe bars? Re: Handlebars - trudd - 20-01-13 Yes, pretty close. Re: Handlebars - kebab19 - 21-01-13 Renthal 758's mentioned on the old site, mostly as fitted to the 1000 but then the fairing's the same as the foxeye 600 even if the risers arent: http://fazerowners.yuku.com/topic/33138/RENTHAL-ULTRA-LOW-BARS-758#.UP0HqvLfUoE http://fazerowners.yuku.com/reply/234834/758s#reply-234834 http://fazerowners.yuku.com/topic/14391/renthal-758-advice#.UP0JIvLfUoE http://fazerowners.yuku.com/reply/115248/flatter-bars#reply-115248 http://fazerowners.yuku.com/reply/50807/bigger-handlebars#reply-50807 Someone else preferred Renthal 754s instead: http://fazerowners.yuku.com/reply/269183/Renthal-Low-better-than-Ultra-Low-Just-Different#reply-269183 I had Rental 789 'streetfighter' bars with brace fitted to my old 600 but they fouled the RHS fairing on fill lock Re: Handlebars - stevierst - 21-01-13 I had a set of 790's that also fouled the fairing badly on full lock, it's a shame, because they were perfect for me on my Tiger 1050. Here's a pic of my old red Fazer with ultra lows fitted. ![]() I rolled them quite far back to make them cosy, and filed off most of the switchgear lugs so they still gripped the bars. I think mine 'just' touched on left lock, but then, my fairing wasn't exactly straight! :lol Re: Handlebars - wezdavo - 21-01-13 Thanks everyone ![]() Got the renthal 758 on order ![]() |
