Any suggestions for the best way to apply it? I presume there is more to it then just point and spray? [Sorry for the silly question but I have never tried painting anything before]

Paul,

I used rotary wire bush, hand wire brush and wire wool to remove all loose paint.

I then warmed the paint and the engine with my fan heater for an hour or so.  Gave the paint a shake for 2 mins as on the tin.

I got a rag and some cellulose thinners and cleaned the engine down with that.  Let it dry.

Then put the paint on spraying from about 20cm away and doing lots of light coats.  Less is more with spraying - it is better to put on many light coats than few heavy coats - which is when you gte runs.

See my post "tarting up my fazer" for the results.

Tom

Thanks for the tips. It doesn't seem as daunting as I thought it would.
