Creating a channel in YouTube - bigfootpete - 13-01-13

Anyone had much luck with this?
I try to upload a video and it starts off with the create channel wizard, but I can't choose the continue button as it does nothing,
the cancel button works, but it means I can't upload my GoPro videos Sad

Is it maybe a Java issue? Pretty sure I'm up to date...

It wouldn't be Java - although similarly named there's a difference between Java (which is rarely used except on some odd ball stuff like speed testers) and JavaScript, which is commonly used on almost all sites.

Suggest disabling any add-ons (add blockers etc in particular) clearing cache etc. And if you're using Internet Explorer try in Firefox or Chrome instead.

Otherwise Lewis might be the guy to ask as he has a pretty good channel.

Make sure you post a link once you have it working - can never have too many bike videos!

PS) Is it doing nothing at the stage where you're actually uploading the video? I.E. have you selected it from your computer at this stage? If large it might take a while to upload.

I'm not even getting to the stage of selecting the video...

It's literally, click the upload button and then I can't click to get to the next step

I don't actually have anything uploaded by I tried that button on mine and it should link to the following:

http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_upload

Try hitting that directly and see if it works.

Aaaahhhaaaaa, it works with Firefox! That's wierd - don't Google own YouTube - and it doesn't seem to work with the Chrome browser...
Will post when vids are uploaded - half are are bit smudged due to todays crappy conditions flinging water up onto the camera.

372 minutes remaining!

This may be a silly question since you got it working with firefox but I presume you do have a Youtube accound and you had signed in first?
Just picked up myself one of these micro camcorders - http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Camcorder---Video/Panther/Panther-Stealth---Worlds-Smallest-High-Resolution-DV_Voice-Camcorder  it comes with a variety of mounts too..
Was looking to mount it onto the rear of the bike for rear shods.. Ive got a fancier HD one for shooting forward once I mount it.. the Panther one shoots at 720x480 and 30fps so perfect for youtube etc.. its on sale now too so ultra cheap..

Andy,
not had a chance to try it on the bike yet apart from a wee test shot to see where the best place to mount it for rear shots... looks like im gonna mount it to the rear rack when I aint got the box on.. couple of small screw holes will mount the stand no probs..
test footage looked pretty good actually.. shoots at 29-30fps and views in a 720x480pixel VGA quality screen so good enough for using on the bike.. records in AVI/MPEG format with sound too btw..

i suppose I could upload it to my youtube account if you was interested in seeing the static (bike) shots
Budgie

EDIT:  uploaded that test vid, dont expect much, it was just a quick experiment..  vid looks a bit squint as bike was on the side stand and sitting ticking over..
