Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - Skippernick - 11-01-13 Hi all. As the title suggests what are the torque settings please? I'm guessing not a lot about 20nm? Many thanks Nick Re: Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - acid drop - 11-01-13 Mr Manwell of Haynes say's that is correct 8) Re: Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - bandit - 11-01-13 Hi, my manual says 10nm for a MK1. Re: Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - unfazed - 11-01-13 A little bit of confusion here Down pipe to Cylinder head is a M6 nut and requires 10Nm torque. (Fit new gaskets) Joint between the down pipes and the end can is a M8 bolt and requires 20Nm torque Re: Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - Skippernick - 11-01-13 Thats it down pipe to cylinder block so 10nm sounds right which is basically hand tight. thanks all. Re: Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - elbrownos - 17-04-13 So it's 10Nm for the stud into the head, and also 10Nm for the nut onto the stud? Re: Exhaust Stud Torque Settings?? - Skippernick - 17-04-13 yup, not very tight at all. |
