needed mudgaurd extention - ddtwelve - 02-01-13 Calling all sheet metal workers can anyone help me with making a rear mudgaurd extention to stop spray and muck soaking my girlfriend when shes on the back ![]() Re: needed mudgaurd extention - chris.biker - 02-01-13 I m sure I could help, but as a suggestion I know a chap who rode a VFR and to do the same job he bought a plastic chopping board and cut it to a nice tapered shape to hang on down passed the number plate. His bike was red so he had used a red chopping board. Re: needed mudgaurd extention - GringoRojo - 03-01-13 Which bike you got? If the mk1 or 2 600 then the fender extended/rear mud guard from a thunder cat will fit straight on. via Tapatalk2 Re: needed mudgaurd extention - ddtwelve - 03-01-13 Sorry to say upgraded to a triumph tiger 1050 ,I couldn't get on with the suspension crashing over bumps and pot hopes any more The extender has got to be black as my bike is burnt orange and black Re: needed mudgaurd extention - markbubble - 03-01-13 just because your fazer got you for speeding you turned to the dark side and got a triumph! Re: needed mudgaurd extention - ddtwelve - 03-01-13 haha mark , had a go on the new fz1 but i had too much weight on my wrists so wanted more upright position too Re: needed mudgaurd extention - Kosmic Kartman - 03-01-13 Other material to consider making it from is an old plastic oil container or an old 25ltr oil drum (if you want a really big one). Cut to shape and rivet, or nut and bolt using big enough penny washers on both sides. Make it out of cardboard first, to get the shape right. I think you'll need to put a decent flange on it. Use a heat gun or blow torch to help you get the fold then chill it in a bucket of cold water. Here's one for the front I made earlier of my KE. ![]() Re: needed mudgaurd extention - JKay - 03-01-13 Are you a Gynnie ?
