Is it a bike or a car? what defines the difference?

1 thing I did notice & referring to a thread from last week, even at that width it seemed to have a bike rear tyre!

cool concept & wouldn't mind a test ride if they ever get into production!

bit like riding a fat bird.

plenty of fun, but you wouldnt tell your mates :|

Re: Would you have one? - Fazerider - 11-12-12

No denying it would be interesting to drive, but what's the betting that supposed 220 mile range drops to more like 50 in real-world use?
And $24,000 :eek most of us could find better things to spend that kind of money on.

Since you wouldn't want the front wheel to be fighting the stability gyros, it may be a fly-by-wire system where the lean is applied entirely by the gyro control circuit and the thing really feels more like a car.
Sadly, the reporter was chosen for her looks rather than her technical knowledge.

Certainly not some thing I would look at, half the fun of riding is trying not to fall off  :rollin :rollin

BMW may have something to say about the C1 name.

Could be interesting to ride/drive though.

Well at least you'd already be in a coffin if it went wrong. I'd give it a go though.

Re: Would you have one? - Chillum - 13-12-12

If you get stuck 'lane-splitting' <- (yanks!) how do you edge your bike back and forward bit by bit to work your way out of it? Reverse?

Re: Would you have one? - Tiberius Onklevaart - 13-12-12

Chillum, probably. its not like you need to get the foot down to move it.

Well I like it, but I want to know how it is at speed with leaning etc. for instance, if the back well slides, does the scope kick in and try and straighten you up to counter, and if so, would the sudden jerk not compromise control and take you somewhere you don't wanna go, like Mombasa or San Salvador?
