Sticking gear lever - sorted - clanadam - 24-11-12 My FZ6 had developed a bit of an issue when changing gears over the last week. Sometimes the gear level wouldn't return properly and it was stuck in gear - not great when you end up coming towards junctions in 4th gear and can't get it changed down! Looking through the forum I thought there may be an issue with the spring(s) in the gearbox but thought I would pop in to Dynotech Ecosse in Hillington to let them have a look. Turned out it was simply that the gear level pivot bolt needed to be taken out, cleaned, greased and put back. Sorted - and with no charge! Top blokes in there. Re: Sticking gear lever - sorted - markbubble - 24-11-12 glad you got it fixed and for free even better! sounds like there top guys and be sure to buy them a drink or 2 as a thanks and recomend them, people like that are few and far between now but goes to show there is some great people still aroundĀ ![]() Re: Sticking gear lever - sorted - clanadam - 24-11-12 To be fair I did pay them a fair whack for a service on my 'blade in the summer and I'll be sticking the Fazer in for a service, 25k valve check, swinging arm grease up etc in Jan/Feb. But still good serviceĀ ![]() Re: Sticking gear lever - sorted - markbubble - 24-11-12 its good you be using them again and have spent with them in past,my local bike(small one man ) shop doesnt rip anyone off and always lets you use his tools etc if theres minor fail on mot etc,iv been going for mot etc for over 20 years ,he is one of the only original shops around here because he is fair and helpfull and i recomend him to everyone in hull area, good work, fair price and helpfull goes a long way i think |
