Power problems - DryRob - 23-11-12

Now I know this isn't a Fazer but I seem to be lacking mid ranger power, I've tried everything do you think I need a new engine?

Re: Power problems - Farjo - 23-11-12

A popular mod is to replace the front sprocket with a smaller one. This will give you more low down grunt. The downside is that the top speed comes down a bit, but really who needs to go at 28mph!

I'd try new rubber before swapping the engine?  Big Grin

do your mates find they lack mid range power or is it only when your riding it?  :rollin

Re: Power problems - JZS 600 - 28-11-12

If you went 2 teeth bigger on the back sprocket you would shorten the wheel base and make it more responsive at the detriment of stability over poor surfaces

Re: Power problems - DryRob - 28-11-12

I was thinking some slicks and a stiffer suspension setup might give me faster cornering speed

Re: Power problems - JZS 600 - 28-11-12

120 psi on the back and 110 on the front works well on slicks  :lol
