Re: Air Fryer - His Dudeness - 10-11-12

u mean a hair dryer right? oh yea great yokes altogether

Re: Air Fryer - taylor - 10-11-12

yes  we have had two. wouldnt be without it, tefal are the best.. the best chips ever,

Re: Air Fryer - pipestrangler - 10-11-12

We both like our airfryer although its not as quick as the FZS600 and the pillion suffers a bit on long rides.
Seriously now though,we have the Phillips and think its the best thing since....well .....fried chips.
The different makes are probably all similar so give one a try

Re: Air Fryer - YamFazMan - 11-11-12

We have had the Tefal and the Phillips if you have the space the Tefal is the best.
If you choose the Tefal be carefull with the stirer / turner over thingie, I dropped ours and broke the end off (That'll be £30 + P&P thankyou)

If any one wants an actifry parts list

Got the Philips one, brilliant bit of kit. Does great chips both fresh and frozen also cooked chops and steaks plus it crisps up jacket spuds cooked in a microwave.  Dont know about the Tefal one but went for the Philips due to small kitchen. Oh and frozen pies Smile

Re: Air Fryer - taylor - 09-12-12

also the tefal cooks double the amount the phillips can cook.

Re: Air Fryer - Andy FZS - 10-12-12

Bought the tefal a few weeks ago and I can confirm it does good chips and other things too.

Re: Air Fryer - JZS 600 - 12-12-12

I could get a lot of chips from the chippy for that (or am I missing the point?)

I also had a bread maker for a while....

Re: Air Fryer - JZS 600 - 12-12-12

Well, you know,,,,,

I was looking at soda streams down the local shops the other day, £50 plus the CO2 plus the syrup. I remembered in the 70's it was no good for putting the fizz back into beer and the novelty wore off after a while. (it was my mates)

Out of nostalgia I bought a Breville toasted sandwich maker a while ago, thinking of all the drunken late night concoctions that I thought up around midnight on a Friday and Saturday (baked beans, tuna and sausage just doesn't work) Then my missus pointed out that the George Foreman grill that my dad bought us makes a better toasted sandwich and you can stick more types of bread in, thinking of pannini's and things like that. Turns out she was right.

I've got rid of the electric carving knife (it kind of shredded the meat on the way through)

My coffee machines are now limited to my percolator, my mate bought one of those pod machines and has now OD'd on it

The microwave remains just in case the missus fancies trying her hand at cooking again

Re: Air Fryer - JZS 600 - 12-12-12

My 12 incher

Re: Air Fryer - DILLIGAFF - 13-12-12

Well, let me see.......................

in the kitchen (cupboards) a grill thingy which took 3 times as long to clean as it did to almost cook a steak............... a liquidiser with all sorts of attachments, ditto................. a mandolin, great if you are prepping for an army but much quicker to chop one onion with a knife.

Sadly I also have to admit to cherishing both a turntable and a VHS recorder. Neither used in the last 10 years???

Then there is the Corby trouser press, the rechargeable dustbuster( now flat), the portable CD player and a bag of leftover screws and fixings from the MFI wardrobes I put together 10 years ago. Well you never know when they may come in handy.

Re: Air Fryer - Robbie8666 - 13-12-12

this yeasr we've bought a waffle maker & a sandwhich toaster ... kids love them both. toastie with cherry pie filling in are a pudding to die for!!
but the sandwhich toaster no good for cheesey hammy eggy's!! :rollin :rollin

Re: Air Fryer - maddog04 - 17-12-12

got the tefal actifry, good bit of kit but parts are expensive if you break them

Pete, how long do you put your spuds in the micro for and how long to crisp up a jacket spud in the fryer?
