Hi - yamahaman - 22-09-12 Hi everyone Thought I'd better introduce myself. My name's Richard, I recently decided that I was fed up with 4 wheels, so finally did my full bike test. I've been meaning to do it since I was 17, so 17 years later at the ripe old age of 34 and, with my wife's disapproval, I did it! Decided to buy a FZS600 (2000)...and I love it!! It's got a fair few extras, which was a bonus, low mileage...and only had to go next door to buy it!! lol Anyway, thought I'd join up here now that I am a Fazer owner ![]() Re: Hi - markbubble - 23-09-12 welcome to the group, bet it took you hours to find that fazer :lol Re: Hi - phillywilly - 23-09-12 welcome along richard, thats the trouble with all you youngsters out there passing tests !! i just passed mine at the old age of 48 ![]() Re: Hi - red98 - 23-09-12 thats good.......got yourself a bike in place of your wife :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin Re: Hi - manuel32 - 23-09-12 HELLO YOUNG BOY!!! :lol Re: Hi - Cecino - 25-09-12 Wife disapproval is MANDATORY! Put a picture of Your bike... Greetings, Gab Re: Hi - Andy FZS - 25-09-12 I took the precaution of passing my test 30yrs ago before I got married, in fact it was a couple of months before I even met my wife. Andy ![]() Re: Hi - D4Delta - 27-09-12 Welcome Richard. Hope your wife comes round. I'm back after a 20 year break - my wife thought I had been in mourning long enough and encouraged me to get two wheels again. Guess I'm very fortunate. ![]() Have fun & stay safe, David. Re: Hi - Fatherbiker - 13-10-12 Welcome Richard from another Richard!..lol. I passed my test when the wheel was still square (well it feels that long ago anyway)!..I bought my first Fazer about 6 weeks or so ago as I was always a Bandit man until my last K3 1200 fell on my leg breaking it in two places and putting me out of work for nearly 4 months!..At least the Fazer is 40 kg lighter and a dream to ride! Re: Hi - Dave48 - 13-10-12 Welcome!-" at the ripe old age of 34!" I got back on bikes at 50 after a break & talk about "Life Changing" :lol Im 64 now & feel the journey has only just begun! If "Her Indoors" doesnt really approve just tell her at least youre not hanging around pubs/bookies/golf courses/chatrooms-apart from ours of course! And it will keep you young @ heart and happier! :lol Live life Ride & enjoy :lol Re: Hi - manuel32 - 13-10-12 whats wrong with golf courses? i do a bit of them too,,an overdue expence now though, Re: Hi - D4Delta - 13-10-12 You have to walk round golf courses - a bike is much more fun! ![]() |
