Speed Awareness Course - chaz - 18-09-12

Well spent 4 hours at "The Holiday Inn" doing the course, It was O.K. updated my highway code knowledge, it's almost 40years since I took my last test (car), coffee and biscuits provided when you arrived and at the break, the thing that surprised me was that out of 24 I was the only biker?

what kind of age spread?

Re: Speed Awareness Course - Robbie8666 - 20-09-12

I took mine 21 aug in exeter, must admit at the time i thought it to be a waste of 3 hours at least 1 hour was informative, however,,, since doing the course I have certainly dropped my speed and generally sticking to limits ( one thing that stuck in my head was its a limit not a target!!) doing this has increased my mpg and only added 5 - 10 minutes on both commute to work & my long commute home to Falmouth at weekends.

the average experience on the course was 23 years driving apiece ages ranged from late 20's to over 65's and bout third were lady's. all were done in cars not a single biker on this course.

2 people failed to attend both were women!!

age range was one 17 year old oldest 70ish most in the 25 to 40 range about 75% were male, one person left the course  after 3 hours said SHE didn't feel well, so failed, if she doesn't retake it, its 3 points and £60 plus £75 course fee.
