Which Pads? - davedee69 - 04-09-12 So no doubt this has been discussed before, I'm in need of some new front pads, so which do i go for, I don't do track days and only cover about 3000 mile per year for enjoyment, and try to avoid wet weather riding where possible. So what pads do I get, GG, HH , sintered?? goldfren, EBC, Kyoto, Galfer, Ferodo ? to many to choose from, surely they all have to meet a standard? All opinions welcomed. :lol Cheers Re: Which Pads? - darrsi - 04-09-12 I've been using Galfer pads and found them to be very good. They last very well and hardly chuck any dust about at all, and are a sensible price. ![]() http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/60133#reviews http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Galfer-HH-Front-Brake-Pads-Yamaha-FZS600-FZS1000-Fazer-FZ6-FZ8-FZ1-/180960150590?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2a2210c43e#shId Re: Which Pads? - Gromit - 04-09-12 Ive currently got kyoto. Great price on wemoto. Theyre ok but nothing special. Re: Which Pads? - Dead Eye - 04-09-12 I'm using ceramic SBS pads on the front and organic EBC on the rear, very happy with both but I also replaced my brake fluid and upgraded to stainless steel lines at the same time... The existing sets were all mis-matched which was confusing and worrying ![]() Edit: Picked up all the sets from eBay and paid about £15 a set? (so £45~ all in incl delivery) Re: Which Pads? - CRH - 05-09-12 (04-09-12, 06:13 PM)Dead Eye link Wrote: I'm using ceramic SBS pads on the front and organic EBC on the rear, very happy with both but I also replaced my brake fluid and upgraded to stainless steel lines at the same time... Tried Carbon Lorraine once, excellent all round but wore very fast I thought. |
